About the Staff

The staff of Women's Center/HealthCare Physicians, PLLC includes four qualified and well trained women. They help to provide a warm and personal atmosphere that is so important to the philosophy of WCHCP.

Charlene - Administrative Manager and Biller. Charlene is a graduate of Detroit Business Institute and previously worked as a receptionist in urgent care as well as family practice. She enjoys life--especially dancing.

Teresa - Medical Manager and Front Office Receptionist. Teresa, a graduate of National Institute of Technology, has experience in direct patient and foster care. She enjoys basketball and comedy shows.

Elizabeth - Front Office Medical Assistant, Procedure Scheduling and Phlebotomist. Elizabeth graduated as valedictorian of her class at National Institute of Technology. She enjoys camping and spending time with her family.

Rhianna - Back Office Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. Rhianna graduated from Dorsey Business School and has been with WCHCP for three years.

Cervical Cancer and Pre-Cancer

Cervical cancer or cancer of the opening to the uterus (womb) was the cause of many deaths prior to the 1940’s. It was in 1945 that the Pap test (smear) was developed. The Pap test is done by swabbing the cervix to look for abnormal cells that could potentially be cancerous or malignant. The Pap test, part of the well woman preventative examination, can be live saving. If the abnormal cells are discovered in time before they progress the disease process can be treated. In 2005, 10,370 U.S. women were diagnosed with cervical cancer and of these 3,710 died.
